Dani Rose takes the Disney College Program!

So I am super excited to be announcing this here on the blog. I was accepted for the Disney College Program in Disneyland for the Spring of 2015 as a PhotoPass Photographer!
If you're not familiar with the DCP (Disney College Program), it offers the opportunity for college students to take a semester and work at either Disneyland or Disney World as a cast member! It is an incredible and unique learning opportunity. Not only do you get to work at a Disney park or resort, you get to live, learn and earn the Disney way. I am just so excited that I get to be a part of this.

I will be arriving January 11th and leaving August 8th! It's such a long time, but I'm excited to pack in all the learning and fun I can get within that time! By the way, if any CP's or future CP's are reading this, please comment! I'd love to get to know you. :)

What does this mean for the blog?
You'll be seeing a lot more Disney here! I'm planning on documenting my Disney College Program experience here on Sincerely, Dani Rose (and also throwing it up on my tumblr). So, you'll be learning all about the DCP and hearing a little about what it's like to be a Disneyland cast member, while still seeing lots of fashion and lifestyle fun!

What does a PhotoPass Photographer do?
I'm super excited because PhotoPass Photographers are those people around the park there to take your picture in front of icons and with characters! First of all, I've always loved taking pictures and second of all, I've always been passionate about everyone getting in the picture on vacations! I'm really excited that I've got the chance to be a part of this role! You can check out this video about it. :)

I am seriously so excited for this. The journey begins now!

90 Days Until Check-in!

bootie pop!

It got a little colder (nearly 20 degrees cooler!) here yesterday which sparked the absolute need to be in fall weather! Which, of course, sparked my need to be donned in head to toe fall fashion including tights, wool panama hats and most notably... Booties.

bootie cravings
How could you not loves absolutely  every pair?! Well, I guess you could hate shoes, but if you hated shoes, you probably wouldn't be reading my blog.

I made the mistake of going into Nordstrom Rack and laid eyes on the rows upon rows of shoes, my eyes settling on the section of size 7 boots. There, I found the most perfect pair of booties... A pair of slightly worn, creamy brown leather Franco Sarto boots. Sadly, we parted ways shortly thereafter, but I'm sure they're waiting for me for when I finally get my paycheck and can make them mine. Sigh.

I'm pretty sure my rapid development of a shoe obsession sparked from Chelsea from Tea Talk's instagram showcasing some beautiful fall looks including the cutest booties! She has a couple pairs of Sam Edelman booties and I kind of totally love them. I want a pair of the Petty booties in the brown leather; I need.

Anyways, I'll stop the babbling. What fall trend are you craving right now?

The Story of the Kenneth Cole Chukka Boots

The Story of the Kenneth Cole Chukka Boots
Preston got these shoes this weekend and they caused quite a stir... So I felt the need to blog about it.
The sales associates at Dillard's and I totally coerced Preston into these awesome shoes (oops). He obviously at least liked them and they looked absolutely sexy on him. He wore the shoes out, we went and ran our errands and then we went back to the house. The second we walked in the door, his roommates berated him with comments about his "hipster" shoes.
Number one, these totally are not "hipster," they are completely trendy.
Number two,  I don't even care they seriously looked so good on him. Case in point.

Boyfriend Commentary: "Coerced was putting it lightly! The lady pretty much forced me to try on the shoes and then Danielle wouldn't let me leave without them. I own another pair of Reaction dress shoes for big client meetings and love the Reaction line from Kenneth Cole, so I guess I kinda wanted them, too (although I will never admit it). I'm glad she added the watch to these outfits, because I feel a good watch is what gives you that classy look. She may have won this battle at Dillard's.... and may have gotten me to wear Disney stuff out in public... Actually, I think I need to stop letting you win all these clothing battles. The only problem is I think she may have developed a foot fetish."

This was so cute until the last lines. I will so totally win all of these clothing battles. And I do not have a foot fetish, men's footwear just happens to be the best thing ever. There is nothing like a creamy suede loafer. Nothing.

Despite the comments, he's decided to keep them. YAY! Obviously one of his better judgement calls. ;) Since these shoes have been the hot topic of recent debate, they've been on my mind constantly. That's why I've decided to create some looks around these shoes to prove their versatility. You know, in case you weren't sold already. I mean, who doesn't love a man in a good desert boot?!

look #1

I put together this first look for Preston for a more business casual look. The outfit can go from the office to Chop Shop to errands after work. He looks smart and pulled together while still maintaining comfort. Plus, he's secretly (maybe not so secretly) lusting over a nice leather messenger. I pretty much love that.
look #2

I thought this look would be great for casual outings to places like Liberty Market or Joe's Farm Grill, or even just hanging out with friends! I love that it balances his level of comfort with my need to be with someone casually stylish. ;) Or at least someone who doesn't look like a tool next to the girl in the distressed denim and the wool panama hat. Enough said.
look #3

Okay, this is totally shameful. Yes, I put together a winter-y outfit together for my man for winter despite the fact that it is still October and in the 90's here in AZ. But seriously, when we were at Old Navy last weekend, he tried on this jacket and it looked amazing on him. Plus, once you introduce winter fashion to me, I don't go back.

So, what do you think? Do you totally love these Chukkas? Or do you just want to chuck them out the window like his roommates*?

* I'm sorry that was the worst pun ever, but it had to be said.

Sunday social linkup

I decided to take part in Neely (of "A Complete Waste of Makeup)'s Sunday Social Linkup! It will sadly be ending next week and while I've never done it myself, I've always enjoyed reading people's responses! So, here we go! (Visit here if you want to join in, too!)
1. Favorite Month and why? Definitely November. Here in Arizona, the weather is always so wonderful in November. Plus, November means Thanksgiving! Speaking of...
2. Favorite Holiday and why? Thanksgiving! Most people would guess Christmas because that's the day my birthday is on, but I really love coming together with my family on Thanksgiving. We always have a "Warshers" tournament each year; it's something I've played since I could walk! I just love having something that's a constant through all of these years.
3. Are you getting the new iPhone or are you more of an Android person? After going through a process that has made me hate Verizon, I'm actually the proud owner of an amazing iPhone 6 Plus! I love, love, love it. And no, it hasn't bent yet. [insert eye roll here]
4. Most thoughtful gift you have ever received from someone? Preston (my boyfriend, for those of you who are new to the blog) got me the most beautiful jade necklace. It was perfect and definitely me, so I'd say that was pretty thoughtful!
5. Something you can’t wait to splurge on? Eventually (we're talking a while from now) I can't wait to splurge on the perfect cashmere sweater. I know that's crazy, but I dream of building a timelessly classic base of a closet one day.
